Tapered roller bearings feature a cup and cone assembly. The cup is comprised of the outer ring and the cone assembly consists of inner ring, rollers, and cage. This bearing construction accommodates combined loads and provides low friction during operation. By adjusting one single row tapered roller bearing against a second tapered roller bearing and applying a preload, a rigid bearing application can be achieved.Tapered roller bearings are separable bearings. Both the inner and outer rings of the bearing have tapered raceways. This type of bearing is divided into single row, double row and four row tapered roller bearings according to the number of columns of rolling elements.
The tapered roller bearing is designed so that the apex of the tapered face on the raceway face of the cone cup intersects with a single point on the bearing centerline. Suitable for applications with heavy load and impact load.

Four Row Tapered Roller Bearings
Four row tapered roller bearings are one kind of roll neck bearings. Their radial and axial loading capacity are high. They can carry heavy axial loads in two directions. Their radial loading capacity is three times more severe than a single row of tapered roller bearings, but the limiting speed is lower. They can be used as axial locating bearings in two directions because they can limit axial displacement in two directions within axial clearance. The radial and axial clearance also can be adjusted by changing the width of the spacer between the inner and outer rings.
Four row tapered roller bearings are used worldwide for rolling mill bearing arrangements where rolling speeds are slow to moderate. They are mainly used in the working roll necks of hot or cold rolling mills and roll necks of cogging mills. They usually clearance fit with roll necks to being mounted and dismounted conveniently.
Steel pressed cages are usually used in four-row tapered roller bearings, and pin-type cages are for large taper bearings.
We supply many sizes of four-row tapered roller bearings with integral radial shaft seals at both sides. Depending on bearing size and the open (non-sealed) basic design, they are available in several designs.

Four Row Tapered Roller Bearings Application:
Four row tapered roller bearings are used worldwide for rolling mill bearing arrangements with slow to moderate rolling speeds. It is mainly used for the neck of hot mill, cold mill and tooth milling machine. They are usually fitted with a rolling neck for easy installation and removal.
